Our Foundation: The 12 Stones of Jordan Crossing

Just as the Israelites placed twelve stones on the other side of the Jordan as a memorial of God’s faithfulness, these 12 spiritual stones serve as pillars of truth and direction for the men who call Jordan Crossing home.

  • Stone 1: Rebirth in Christ

Jordan Crossing welcomes men who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ — those who are ready to live under the grace, love, and lordship of the Savior.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

  • Stone 2: The Crossing is Possible with God’s Help

We don’t walk alone. Every man here is supported with empathy, love, and prayer. Letting go of the past and stepping into God’s promises requires courage — and confidence in His power to restore.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened…” – Matthew 11:28–29

  • Stone 3: A New Identity in Christ

The world may have labeled you. Addiction may have tried to define you. But in Christ, you are made new. Jordan Crossing is a place to reclaim your God-given identity — as a man, a son, and a leader.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

  • Stone 4: Leaving the Wilderness of Addiction

Addiction is a wilderness of fear, control, and isolation. Here, men are encouraged to take accountability, surrender old habits, and move forward with purpose and awareness. Freedom is not perfection — it’s direction.

    “See, I am doing a new thing! … I am making a way in the wilderness…” – Isaiah 43:19

  • Stone 5: Entering Healing and God’s Promises

We believe in holistic healing — emotional, spiritual, and physical. Through prayer, community, and Scripture, men begin to experience the peace, restoration, and promises of God.

“I am the Lord who heals you.” – Exodus 15:26

  • Stone 6: Recovery

Recovery isn’t just about sobriety — it’s about surrender. It’s admitting our need, accepting God’s grace, and building a new foundation in truth and love. Recovery happens in the heart, mind, and spirit.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us…” – 1 John 1:9

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

  • Stone 7: Fulfillment

True fulfillment is not found in possessions or performance. It’s found in walking in God’s will — living a life of purpose, gratitude, and service. Here, men are encouraged to discover and live out their God-given gifts.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” – 1 Peter 4:10

  • Stone 8: Transformation

Transformation means dying to the old self and being made new in Christ. It’s a daily renewal of the heart, the mind, and the spirit — a lifestyle of holiness, humility, and hope.

“Put off your old self… to be made new in the attitude of your minds…” – Ephesians 4:22-24

  • Stone 9: Surrender to God’s Will

At Jordan Crossing, surrender isn’t weakness — it’s strength. We teach men how to lay down control, release anxiety, and trust God fully with their journey.

“Not my will, but yours be done.” – Luke 22:42

  • Stone 10: Faith in God’s Provision

We serve a God who meets every need. Even in dark or uncertain seasons, His provision is constant — spiritually, financially, and emotionally.

“My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory…” – Philippians 4:19

  • Stone 11: Commitment to Community

Healing happens in community. Men at Jordan Crossing are encouraged to live in honesty, accountability, and love — sharing their stories, supporting one another, and forming true brotherhood.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2

  • Stone 12: Living in Hope of the Promise

We live with eyes on eternity and hearts full of hope. The Promised Land isn’t just heaven — it’s a life on Earth filled with meaning, healing, and future.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord… ‘plans to give you hope and a future.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
