Nestled in the heart of Madras, Oregon, the Madras Shelter offers a warm and safe refuge for those experiencing homelessness in our community. We are a low barrier shelter, which means individuals don’t need to ‘clean up’ before accessing our care; however, no substances are allowed on site. Throughout the week we offer a variety of services including showers, laundry, and meals (see a full list of our weekly schedule below). The Madras Shelter is equipped with on site staff, volunteers, and security to ensure safety and love for all of our clients.

Yes, we absolutely do! In both summer and winter temperatures can be dangerous for anyone who doesn’t have shelter, that’s why we open daily from 11 am - 4 pm when temps are in the 90’s or higher and in the 20’s or lower. Anytime we are open during the day we provide on site lunch.
Yes, we sure do! However, we don’t process any donations through our shelter. Our LINC program gives out resources to anyone in need, and this is where we receive any non-monetary donations. They accept items such as clothing, kitchen supplies, non-perishable food, dog food, household items, etc. To ensure quality, we do not accept any unwashed clothing, and items need to be in reasonably, used condition.
